Sit at my desk
My mind wanders around.
Gaze flitting.
~~~~~.~~~~~~~.~~~~~
Metal parrot jaw
gently pulls beams down.
Demolition view.
~~~~~.~~~~~~~.~~~~~
Stone frog. Empty shell.
Cactus reaches for the sky.
Window sill plant pot.

Police find bomb in London, open terrorism probe ~ It was found near the Trocadero (Piccadilly Circus) according to the BBC Report after an abulance crew called to a nightclub noticed it smoking.
Lets hope we don't need the equivalent of London_070705 any time soon :P At the time, however, it was a very useful recource to try identify who was / was not affected. But we (Londoners) have been at the forefront of Stuff like this for quite a long time.
The various jokes / quotes even have their own Snopes entry : http://www.snopes.com/quotes/london.asp. I first heard a varient of one of those:
When an elderly Londoner was asked about how he felt about the London bombings of 07-July he responded that he had lived through the blitz, the IRA bomb campaign and the Canary Warf explosion and said "I've been blown up by a better class of bastard than this!"
Oh, and in regards to my last post about the Wikipedia article on Chris Bodit, apparently someone has confirmed to Wikipedia that they made up the bit about his wife dying (Wikipedia articles do get vandalised on & off) and were rather horrified to find it to be true.

I became aware of the death of , his wife & son due to fan friends on LJ, with the death announcement quickly becomeing a statement of Murder-Suicide.
Today I note the followign twist to the tale that involves Wikipedia:
Wikipedia notes death of Benoit's wife before body found
Investigators are looking into who altered pro wrestler Chris Benoit's Wikipedia entry to mention his wife's death hours before authorities discovered the bodies of the couple and their 7-year-old son.
Benoit's page on Wikipedia, a reference site that allows users to add and edit information, was updated at 12:01 a.m. Monday, about 14 hours before authorities say the bodies were found. The reason he missed a match Saturday night was "stemming from the death of his wife Nancy," it said.
Oooookay!
Firstly, this occured before anyone was supposed to know (unless this is a timestamp screw up) and secondly, were this the case....
Would your first instinct be to update Wikipedia?
On the other hand, one of the implications is that Chris Benoit himself may have updated the page:
An IP address, a unique series of numbers carried by every machine connected to the Internet, does not necessarily have to be broadcast from where it is registered.
..messages from Chris Benoit's cell phone were being sent to co-workers a few hours after the Wikipedia posting.
WWE employees are given WWE e-mail addresses, McDevitt said, though he did not know whether Chris Benoit had one.
"I have no idea who posted this," McDevitt said. "It's at least possible Chris may have sent some other text message to someone that we're unaware of. We don't know if he did. The phone is in the possession of authorities."
So, I often apparently post from somewhere in the US, where my work IP portal is despite being based in the UK. So you would THINK I was in the US when I was at work, but somewhere in the UK (again, not my home town but the home town of our ISP) when at home.
*sigh* Either way, whoever he was, it is a sad end to any life.

These are apparently / allegedly real ads from a Dublin newspaper's personal column:
in a man who loves his pints, cigarettes, Glasgow Celtic Football Club and has been known to starting fights on Patrick Street at three o'clock in the morning.
True? False? Care?
